BCECE and BCECE Syllabus
BCECE(Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination) is an examination conducted by the BCECE Board. It is a state-level examination conducted for admission into various colleges in the state of Bihar for courses like Pharmacy, Para-Medical and Agriculture. This is an examination conducted once in a year, mostly in the month of April.
It is an offline examination. Duration of examination for each subject is 90 minutes. The subjects included in the examination are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Agriculture. Depending on the course the candidates seek admission, they can choose the subject on which they will write the exam.
Eligibility
The candidates applying for BCECE must be an Indian national and should have a domicile of Bihar. The parents of the candidate should either be a permanent resident of Bihar or should have a government job in the state of Bihar.
There is no specific age limit to be eligible for the examination. The candidates must have studied the following subjects in Class 12: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. The general candidates should score a minimum of 45% in Class 12 and reserved category students must score a minimum of 40% to be eligible for BCECE.
Application Form
The application form of BCECE will be available online on the official website. The opening date and closing date for filling the application form will be announced on the official website. The candidates must upload their photograph and a scanned copy of the signature while filling the application. The required file size for the photograph and the signature will be specified on the application form.
A correction window will be provided to make changes in the application form after the last date to fill the application form. During the correction window, the candidates will be allowed to make corrections in the form if they have made any mistakes earlier while filling the application.
Documents to be taken to Examination Hall
The candidates must take his/her admit card along with a valid ID proof. Valid ID proof can be a pan card, aadhar card, voter’s ID or any other valid document issued by the government.
Examination Marking Scheme
All the subjects include 100 Multiple Choice Questions. The total marks allotted for each subject is 400. BCECE examination has negative marking. For each wrong answer, one mark will be detected.
BCECE Syllabus
The syllabus of BCECE is based on the higher secondary curriculum. Current Electricity, Electrostatics, Gravitation, Optics, Properties of Solids and Liquids, Electromagnetic Waves and Laws of Motion are some of the topics included in BCECE syllabus. Chemistry syllabus includes topics from Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. Some of the chemistry topics are Structure of the Atom, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, Preparation and Properties of Some Important Compounds, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Organic Compounds Containing Nitrogen (Amines, Cyanides, Isocyanides, Diazonium Salts), Hydrocarbons and many more.
Mathematics includes topics like Mathematical reasoning, Permutations and Combinations, Sets, Relations, and Functions, Trigonometry, Vector Algebra, Sequences and Series etc.
Agriculture syllabus includes topics like Agricultural Engineering, Dairy and Fish Production, Plant breeding and genetics and many more.
